Edward was born in Maple Ridge, British Columbia in the winter of 1993. His family then emigrated to Penobscot, Maine later that year. He grew up in a log cabin in the woods, working for his family’s lumberjack business. He has several younger siblings, whom he cares very much for. He seems himself as their guardian angel. Unfortunately for Edward, he was diagnosed with several mental and behavioral disorders as a child. He has very little self-control, and often ends up going on esoteric, and sometimes violent, tirades that can land him in some trouble. His favorite possession in the world is a Chainsaw that was a gift from his uncle when he turned 15.

Edward’s father passed away in the summer following Edward’s 18th birthday. Edward was left to raise his younger siblings alone, after their mother disappeared without a trace that following winter. The oldest of his siblings was a feisty Red-Head named Sarah. She took on a majority of the household tasks, while Edward was out working. She always felt an obligation to protect her family, since Edward never had the mental capacity. Unfortunately for Edward, Sarah would always take her rage out on Edward. She would abuse him, belittle him, and sometimes leave him out in the cold during snowstorms. This didn’t bother Edward, for he loved his baby sister with all he had.

One day, Edward received a call from his uncle who lived in New Haven, CT. His uncle had made the family business a public entity, and was offering him a job. Edward was conflicted. Would he leave his family behind for a better opportunity? He made a choice. He would leave the barren forest-scape for a better and brighter future. He boarded a train towards Connecticut, and the rest was history. Or so he thought. Upon his arrival to the city of New Haven, was met with indifferent looks. This hulk of a man had stepped off the train, seemingly straight out of a children’s book; Flannel shirt, oversized surplus army jacket, jeans, beanie, and a full beard of dark/read hair. He was also carrying his trusty chainsaw in its case, along with his trusty shotgun slung over his shoulder.

He walks around for a bit, when he is approached by a man in a tan trench coat. He says to Edward, “I wouldn’t walk around town with that slung over your shoulder. It might attract unwanted attention.” Edward gives him a smile and says “Attention? I like attention.”  The man in the coat gives a big sigh. “Look, big guy, I don’t want to burst your bubble, but you can’t walk around brandishing a firearm in the city. At least put it out of sight, alright?” Edward tilts his head to the side and says “Like this?”  Edward then proceeds to shove the entire shotgun into his coat, making it completely invisible from the outside.  The man stands wide-eyed in disbelief at what he just saw. He regains himself and says to him, “The name’s Ian and you are?” “My name is Ed!” Edward replies. They shake hands, as Ian then proceeds to wipe several layers of grim onto his coat. “Something tells me that we’re going to be best friends!”  Edward yells at the top of his lungs as he bear-hugs Ian. Onlookers cringe at the sound of crunching bones. He sets Ian down, picks up his belongings and says to Ian “Where to?”
